Is this heaven? No, it’s Hamlin Park

July 28, 2026

Our inaugural season with Hamlin Park Baseball Association (www.hamlinparkbaseball.org) has concluded. To say it was a success would be an understatement.

It was not a success in the classical sense as the Padres of the Rookie League had only 1 win. More to the point the season was a success for the following reasons:

  • The league is both competitive and supportive of player development.
  • The fields are in great shape due to the dedicated management, grounds crew, and parent volunteers.
  • The people (kids, family, friends, umpires, and league directors) are awesome!
  • It’s fun for the whole family.
  • It’s a great family friendly social scene.

One element of my new website (www.teamwendt.com) that I love is the ability to create and save specialty searches to the homepage. Here is one I created for homes walking distance to Hamlin Park: www.teamwendt.com/hamlin-park.
